FAQ

Answers to common questions

We've put together short answers to the questions we hear most — from getting connected to privacy. Can't find what you need? Support is available in Russian and English, 24/7, on Telegram and by email.

Getting started and subscriptions

How do I connect to ZiP VPN?

Open your dashboard, confirm your email, and choose a plan. After payment, you'll get setup instructions and ready-made WireGuard configs for every platform we support. Connecting takes just a couple of minutes.

Is there a trial period?

Yes — the Basic plan includes a 7-day trial with full functionality. It activates automatically when you sign up. If it's not for you, just don't renew — you won't be charged.

What payment methods are available?

We support bank cards, Apple Pay/Google Pay, and invoicing for legal entities on request. We also issue invoices to corporate clients and partners. If you don't see the option you need, contact support and we'll find something that works.

Usage and devices

How many devices can I connect?

The Basic plan allows up to 10 simultaneous connections, and PRO up to 20. You can freely split that allowance between your own devices and your team in the account dashboard.

Can I share access with family or coworkers?

Yes, as long as you stay within your paid device limit. Create separate configurations, so you can disconnect a lost device at any time without affecting the others.

Do I need to choose a server manually?

By default, we pick the nearest and least congested location for you — it's faster that way. But you can always choose a specific city to reach local content or get around blocks.

Security and privacy

Do you log traffic?

No. We don't log traffic content or keep a history of your connections. See the details in our Privacy Policy.

How is my traffic encrypted?

We use WireGuard with modern cipher suites (ChaCha20 and Poly1305), plus extra layers of TLS on our routers. Keys are generated locally and never leave your device.

Where are your servers located?

Our nodes sit in vetted data centers across the EU, Turkey, the UAE, and Asia. We don't use virtual locations — only facilities with a direct uplink from Tier-1/2 carriers.

How do I delete my account and payment data?

Send a request to privacy@zipvpn.org from the email address linked to your account. Deletion is completed within 72 hours, and you'll get a confirmation by email.

Technical questions

Speed seems lower than usual. What can I do?

Try this:

  • Switch to a closer or less congested location.
  • Turn off automatic DNS in the client and use 1.1.1.1.
  • Update the app to the latest version.
  • Check that no other VPN or proxy is running.

If that doesn't help, send us a speed test screenshot and the time you connected — we'll help track down the cause.

How do I turn off auto-renewal?

In the billing section of your account, turn off auto-renewal for the plan you want. If your subscription was set up through the Telegram bot, send the /billing command and follow the prompts. The rest of your paid period stays active.

The app won't connect. What should I do?

Check that your system clock is accurate, restart the app, and re-import your configuration. On some networks, turning on obfuscation mode in the client settings helps. If the error keeps happening, send us the logs and we'll take a look from the server side.
